Why Cenote

Cenotes are sites of groundwater deposits that have dissolved the limestone around them to create sinkholes or caverns where. Located throughout the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico.

As a Mexican-American I felt connected to this landform and it’s and mesmerized by the meanings I could apply to the deep under ground water.

For me the cenote waters symbolize our deep emotional world that can be hard to comprehend, challenge us to be careful as we explore them, and reward us with transformative experiences. To that end, dare with me, dare to be powerful and go deep within yourself led by your curiosity.
